New Year's Day

Just had one of the best seafood newburg's I have ever had in my life.
I was visiting a friend in Bennington Vermont and he suggested we go the local hospital(Southwestern Vermont Medical center), for lunch.
My reaction was ,New Year's Day lunch at a hospital.
Well, was I in for a suprise. I had the Seafood newburg served over Saffron rice and fresh asparagus.
The newburg was one of the best I have ever had. It consisted of whole 26/30 shrimp, fresh sea scallops and real crabmeat all combined with a very sweet and creamy sherry cream sauce.Heavenly!!
My friend also advised me that this establishment was known locally for their great soups. I tried the Sweet Potato Bisque and it was fabulous.
The best part was the warm service with a smile,in a 70's diner style atmosphere with prices that were very reasonable. I highly recommend a stop at this hospital if you are traveling through southern Vermont.
