I think I'm going to try this new Vietnamese place in Chinatown tomorrow. Can anybody give me some recommendations? I'm leaning towards the thit bo kho (beef stew). Does anyone know if you can get it with noodles AND a baguette? Thanks!
I also wanted to mention that I had an excellent lunch at the Vietnamese stand at the Super 88 food connection yesterday. I got the duck leg soup off the special's menu. It was incredible. A dark murky broth flavored with star anise, soft chewy egg noodles, chinese broccoli, giant mushrooms, and a duck leg that was so tender and moist I couldn't believe it. It was so soft all I had to do was poke it with my chopsticks and the meat fell off the bone. The duck meat also added a nice flavor to the already tasty broth. It was great!!
