It's been a while since I had been in, but with Hometown closed next door...
The vegetable pancake was quite good to me. Thinner and lighter tasting (and feeling) than others I've had.
Dhuk mandoo guk (sp?) soup was rather boring, which was totally disappointing. The filling of dumplings were really dry and the broth had just zero flavor. Too bad because this soup at Hometown makes me SWOON the broth is so good.
Friends had stone pots - one was bibimbap and the other veggies and tofu. Both looked great and my companions were pleased.
Panchan was respectable. Cucumbers, kimchee, shredded radish, bean sprouts, etc. (IIRC I loved that Seoul Food on Mass. Ave. had pickled sliced broccoli stems.)
For some reason the owner decided to discount all the beer and wine by 40% - after a tough workout I was pleased to take advantage of the $2.50 Sapporo.
I'd go back for that cold buckwheat noodle dish and a $2.50 beer, but otherwise it looks like I'm trekking over to Allston from now on.
