Wrentham Outlet lunch option - Irish pub and Portuguese blade meat

Went shopping at Wrentham with two pals today; part of our mission was to try an Irish pub in the vicinity that one pal had checked out earlier. About a 10-minute drive, Rt 1A to 106 to 1 again - the Chieftain Pub in Plainville. Great little family-run place with great beer, atmosphere and an inexpensive and varied menu. I saw something called a "Blade Meat Sandwich" - Portuguese pork on a bulkie roll - and had to get it - only $5.95! It was completely amazing and utterly addictive. Apparently it is pork shoulder marinated and cooked slowly - my new favorite way to ingest pork, second only to really high-quality pulled pork BBQ or Chinese BBQ pork. Very hot and spicy and not at all fatty. Have to admit, I was quite impressed that any Irish pub would have the guts to serve something that completely non-Irish or even Irish/American or chain-restaurant American. A tip of the hat to a wise chef! The bulkie roll looked like it had been thawed over a gas flame (black markings) so was not much of an addition. The price of the sandwich included a side of fries, chips or veg - I opted for the veg (an enormous and nicely cooked portion of butternut squash)and stole half my girlfriend's fries (big steakhouse fries but REALLY good). A fellow at a neighboring table ordered the mussels appetizer (about 8 or 9 bucks) and a gigantic bowl of the beauties steamed their way to his table, complete with plastic beach pail for the shells. I will try them next time. The Chieftain Pub was a much nicer option than the icky chains surrounding the Outlets or the food court where you can get an ulcer from the stress of long lines and hideous service before you even eat your lunch.

SO - if anyone has any recommendations on where else one might find a blade meat sandwich or at least the marinated pork, please post! THANX.
