Hi, folks. A newbie here.
In 10 days, I'm getting a visit from an aspiring pro baker friend (new grad from culinary school) from Ohio who'd like to do some research/tasting/inspiration-grabbing here. He's especially looking for bakeries (artisan breads or desserts) that utilize wood fire ovens, since that's at the heart of his new business. I'm no great expert on such things, so I'm turning to you guys for suggestions on places to visit. Btw, I live in the Annex, so that's the starting point, and he'll be here just on a Saturday and Sunday (when some places are closed). Any ideas? Thanks.
