The most wonderful time of the year: Greek Festival Time!

Chris VR | Jun 5, 201509:57 AM

Arlington's Greek Festival opened last night, not with the full menu but serving gyros, souvlaki and pastries. The gyro was great as expected, and the souvlaki was significantly better than expected, with very moist chicken. The loukomades were scrumptious, hot and sweet and sprinkled with a light dusting of chopped walnuts. We got some baklava and kataifi to go. I was hoping because it was the first night that it would be crunchier but it was on the soggy side, which is par for the course at these Greek festivals... my only disappointment. It goes through Sunday and I think the full menu is being offered all three days. http://arlingtonfestival.com/menu/

Woburn's Festival is next weekend! I thought one of them has roasted a pig in the past but I didn't see anything about that on either site. http://www.mygreekfestival.com/menu.html
