We have been to Cherry Grill in tha past and always had a good meal, but his last time was just so good!
I had gotten an email about a dinner special 5 courses for $24.99 so we decided to drive across the river and have a meal. Smart move!
We (my husband and his teenaged child) had:
Wonton soup (had a choice of several soups) wonderful soup! took some home too!
ceasar salad (had a choice of house or this) the ceasar dressing was a tiny buit lcaking but still good
beef egg rols (had a choice of this or onion rings or chcioekn tneders ro a veggie egg roll - the egg roll option relaced a California roll, but one cook was out so the sushi guy had to be ont he grill. Ahh the teen was intially disapointed, but after having the beef egg roll, we were all very pleased with the switch. The egg roll was so good that I tild my husband had he brought these home I might have thought they were trief, they tasted so much like the egg rolls I used to eat!
There were several entre choices, bith Chinese and not. Hubby had General's chicken - so good with beautiful steamed broccolli on the side and fried rice, the teen had stuffed salmon (spinich and red peppers)with rice and steamed broccolli. it was a HUGE platter, tastefully garnished and was devoured with much joy! I had crispy beef and fried rice. Fabulous, but too much to finish so I took soem home. Nuked it last night for a wonderful dinner treat!
We finished with tea and apple strudel for them and a brownie for me. What a great ending.
We also took out soup and dumplings and chicken lo mein. We ate the noodles, dumplings, soup and left over beef last night for dinner - fabulous!
While there my husbands eyes grew very wide seeing the burgers - looked so good. He did do a double take when he saw a burger go by that had pastramii on top - he has said many times he needs to go back for that and he always grumbles about the "get out of NJ trax" ie the bridge tolls so it must have looked spectacular to him! Whatever ti takes to get back there, i cant wait to go again!
