Hit Wolfgang's for the first time on Friday. I've been to Luger's 25+ times in the past 5 yrs, but Wolfgangs convenient location drew me in.
We got there at 7 pm and were seated immediately. Onion rolls and salt sticks were set down and our waiter took our wine order soon after (2 bottles Clos du Val Cabernet).
We started with bacon and onion/tomatoes appetizers. The bacon rocked w/ porky, crispy, smoky flavors hitting the palate akl at once.
Our table of four ordered two steak 2's, medium rare, german potatoes, creamed spinach, and onion rings.
The steak was incredible. It had the beefy, mineral concentration of Lugers, combined with a tenderness the was melt in your mouth luscious.
It was the best steak of my life. I will be returning soon to see if the quality of the beef is consistent.
With generous tip, it was $105 per person.
