Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on the corner of Lincoln and Beach Blvd. No website and very little fanfare. No searches come up on CH. They open at 11am (11:30 on Sunday) and almost every table is taken within the first 15 minutes. A very popular destination for older Korean folks.
A heaping steaming bowl of spicy jjambong. They offer several types of spicy. The bowls are huge and filled with mussels, clams, head on shrimp, half a crab, small scallops and squid. I haven't had a better bowl anywhere. It's the bowl you've been looking for. Their dry version is basically the same with no liquid. Both are amazing and can easily be a meal for 2.
But you'll want to order the sweet and sour pork to share. The sauce is always served on the side. A large portion of very well fried and crispy pork.
We haven't had the jja jaing mein or spicy garlic shrimp but both get good reviews from our parents. The dumplings are supposed to be good as well. We'll eventually get to the rest of the menu.
