The street-level Wo Hop at 15 Mott St was my idea of heavenly salt & pepper baby squid, crispy, crunchy, with tentacles left on. Just got off jury duty, one month 10am-1pm, & ran to Wo Hop each lunchtime for their broccoli in garlic sauce & salt/pepper squid. But, each time the squid was soggy & appeared to be udercooked. Then I discovered this Chowhound site & read Jim's rave Tindo posts, noting his advice to order from special menu. We had #807 sauteed scallops w/black pepper sauce & broccoli; & salt/pepper squid; & greens in great sauce (forget name). The #807 was the best dish I've tasted in years, delicious sauce (ask for rice, it's extra), the squid was sans tentacles & not cunchy enough for us, but Tindo was an adventure & I've been back twice. Thanks Jim for Tindo. Tried Search for Wo Hop threads but couldn't get any, tried making it one word (Wohop) & no luck.
