I have a wine collection of Martha Stewart selected wines. I'm inviting 4 yoga friends for a casual fun wine tasting. I doubt any of us know much about this and the food that goes with although I have read articles on the subject.
I thought I'd have two white, two red and maybe one rose along with three cheeses like blue cheese, cheddar and my favorite Brie, adding crackers or bread cubes or anything else to balance out the food and wine such as endive with crab salad. Someone suggested veggie pizza. Will you offer other suggestions? Another question is how to serve wine and food for such a small group. I thought we could sit at my dining room table. Then what? Pass bottles around one by one to taste and then pass the food around as well when they decide which one they want.
Alternatively, I have an Alvar Aalto tea cart from Finland and wondered how I could use it to compliment the food and wine.
I tried searching but didn't come up with anything. Maybe there are some posts with good advice that you can recommend. Now I'm going to make a list of the wines I have. Perhaps that would determine what food items would work well for this event.
WE are a group of ladies in our 70s that want to have fun.
