I was browsing at the Williams Sonoma Outlet today. Right between Staub and Le Creuset, I noticed a Williams Sonoma house brand called Open Kitchen. The products looked a bit like a cross between Le Creuset and Staub. The exterior reminded me more of Le Creuset because of the shape and the finish. The interior was black enamel with a slightly rough finis. The interior of the lid had the self basting dimples like a Staub.
I got curious about this, so I did a bit of Internet research when I came home. Apparently Williams Sonoma launched the Open Kitchen collection in 2014. I'm currently obsessed with Dutch ovens, so of course I happened to notice those. But Open Kitchen reaches beyond just those. The products are made in Turkey. And, of course, like any house brand, the Open Kitchen is less expensive than high end brands like Staub or Le Creuset. The name itself is a reference to the open kitchen design used in many restaurants. But I could not find any professional reviews of Open Kitchen cookware.
Does anyone have any experience with Open Kitchen? Any opinions as to its quality?
