Where'd Sodere go?

So, I got a group of people to eat Ethiopian food last night. We walked down and I noticed Sodere was closed. I was just wondering if anyone knew when this happened. I went to Etete last night and prior to that, i had been to Dukem. I'm sad to hear that one of the four places chowhownders like for Ethiopian is gone.

As for Etete, we sat on the "stage" towards the front of the restaurant. That was quite enjoyable. We ordered four dishes for the five of us - a beef, a lamb, a mix of vegetables and the tibs (beef chunks?). Compared to Dukem, I'd say the tibs were a little overcooked but the lamb dish was delicious. I'm sorry I don't remember the name.

Also, we ordered a bottle of the house honey wine which was very nice. It was smooth and not too sweet/.

I did notice an item on the menu called Gored Gored. It's supposed to be chunks of raw beef and I was very curious. Unfortuantely, we were eating family style and no one else was as adventurous. Has anyone tried it and would be willing to describe it?

I enjoyed the atmosphere very much at Etete. It was low-key unlike Dukem which was very lively. The popularity, unfortunately, affected Dukem's service because everything was slow. It wouldn't have been a HUGE problem but everyone at my table desparately needed water after some of the spices.
