my partner and i are planning to spend two weeks in the puglia (the heel of the boot) region of italy, most likely in otranto. we wil be staying in an apartment, so will be able to cook.
i am looking for recommendations for restaurants and markets in the region. we love to cook, and i'm thrilled to sample as much of the local produce as i can cram into two weeks.
the new york times recently had an article on the region but only a couple of restaurants were mentioned. so, as much info as possible, books, strategies, etc.
