I'm going to be spending a weekend in Vienna before Christmas with my girlfriend. I've never been before and we're staying in the museum district.
We are arriving on the Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning.
We will probably have a street food type meal Thursday evening possibly from the Christmas markets. Here in the UK Christmas markets generally don't have anything particularly great food-wise; are there any stand out stalls in the Vienna ones or is it just a case of grab whatever looks edible?
Friday or Saturday we will probably head to the zoo so something around there might be good. The other day we will be exploring the city so I'm really up for eating wherever is recommended.
In terms of price and style, we don't want fine dining and we'd like to keep it below £100 a meal, so €130ish but preferably less. Any cuisine is good but a trendy, young, hipster vibe (for want of a better word) would be appreciated without the place being too obnoxious, though with emphasis on good food.
