Hubby, 3 year-old daughter and I will be visiting Pittsburgh from Toronto April 3-6. We have never been to Pittsburgh before. Not sure where we will be staying yet, but we will have a car so we are mobile :)
What places must we visit? I've read about Primanti's, though the reviews seem pretty mixed. Also read about the Strip, and that seems like a must for us.
We haven't figured out exactly what we'll be doing, but here's what piques our interest: Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, Conservatory and Butterfly Garden, outlets in Grove City, Children's museum, Zoo and Aquarium. Any good suggestions near these places?
Where can we go for good third wave coffee? I've read about Commonplace Coffeehouse.
What are some good walking neighbourhoods in terms of food, atmosphere, etc.?
Hubby wants to go to Costco when we're there - is there one in particular that's recommended?
Wherever we go needs to be child-friendly. We don't need a kids' menu since our daughter is thankfully not a picky eater, but we do need places that welcome families :) We are not big drinkers, looking for moderately priced places (around $75 for dinner would be fine, not including alcohol). We like pretty much all types of food.
