so I just returned from the grocery and was seduced there by a package of beautiful pinky-rose and white beanpods full of something called wax beans. I had a suspicion they might be cranberry beans of the famously short lived season, and so I snapped 'em up thinking of soup and roast meat. But now what? What are wax beans and what do you do with them in reality, not just my romantic foodie head?
Thank you for all your bean notions.
