Waterfall's Cafe (Middle Eastern)

I know this place has been on the board before, but it's been a while. I just wanted to remind everyone about Waterfall Cafe's (Atlantic Ave., btwn Clinton and Henry St.) delicious food. My husband and I felt like Middle Eastern food yesterday. I think it's one of the most refreshing cuisine's in hot weather. We decided to hit Atlanic Avenue since we needed to stock up at Sahadi's too. At Waterfall's, we shared their meze platter for one (huge!)as an appetizer. It includes a little bit of each vegetarian cold appy...delicious. I also had a rich tasty lentil soup. As entrees, my husband had a chicken souvlaki platter with a side of hummos ($7.50)and I had my favorite, the stuffed cabbage with meat and a salad (also $7.50). It's slightly tart and scrumptiously gamey. The charming Syrian owner/hostess/waitress (her mom does a lot of the cooking) spends a good deal of her time chatting up the patrons. We always have a good laugh with her. At the end, she presented us with complimentary honey-soaked pastries. I'd really recommend a visit to this restaurant. The decor is very simple, but the food is exceptional and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. You can't beat the prices either. BYOB too.
