My boyfriend and I love good French food. In September, well be in Paris for the third time in the last four years. This time, we want to avoid the mistakes of the past which have led us to some disappointing dining experiences among them Chez Georges (Le Jeu du Mail), Costes and Benoit. Our palates are educated but tend toward the basics (chicken, pork, veal and lamb) and away from such dishes as pieds du porc, tete de veau and ris dagneau. Weve compiled a short list of nine reasonably-priced bistros -- La Cave Gourmande (Mark Singer), La Regalade, Le Troquet, Au Moulin a Vent Chez Henri, Atelier Maitre Albert, Reminet, LEpi Dupin, Au Bon Accueil and Le Villaret -- and would greatly appreciate comments, opinions and alternative recommendations from experienced foodies. This is my first Chowhound posting. Help! Mille fois merci!
