My boyfriend and I love good French food. In September, we’ll be in Paris for the third time in the last four years. This time, we want to avoid the mistakes of the past which have led us to some disappointing dining experiences – among them Chez Georges (Le Jeu du Mail), Costes and Benoit. Our palates are “educated” but tend toward the basics (chicken, pork, veal and lamb) and away from such dishes as pieds du porc, tete de veau and ris d’agneau. We’ve compiled a short list of nine “reasonably-priced” bistros -- La Cave Gourmande (Mark Singer), La Regalade, Le Troquet, Au Moulin a Vent “Chez Henri”, Atelier Maitre Albert, Reminet, L’Epi Dupin, Au Bon Accueil and Le Villaret -- and would greatly appreciate comments, opinions and alternative recommendations from experienced foodies. This is my first Chowhound posting. Help! Mille fois merci!
