Volunteers Needed in Wilmington NC for Operation BBQ Relief

Melanie Wong | Sep 24, 201812:34 PM     1

Operation BBQ Relief has provided 200K hot meals in the Greater Wilmington area as first responders for Hurricane Florence disaster relief. The current plan is to continue through this weekend. Yesterday OBR put out a call for more volunteers. If you are in or near Wilmington, OBR could use your help. And if you know folks who are nearby, please share this facebook post with them.

"We need volunteers!! Are you in or near Wilmington and able to make it to the old Kmart parking lot in College St? We need your help to keep feeding the community. No grilling experience necessary! You can register here on site. Please no open-toed shoes....thank you!"

I've shared my experience with OBR at last month's Carr Fire in Redding, California. https://www.chowhound.com/post/postca... It's one of the most soul-satisfying things you can ever do.
