Hello again. I have friends coming from Montana for a wedding. They have dined at top spots all over the world inc. repeat visits to France. Price is probably not the biggest consideration as long as the food equals the tab. I thought "Tru" would be a good pick for them. They do love French food, not interested this trip in Greek or Mexican or Thai or the like. They have four nights in Chicago and are staying at the Park Hyatt....so something within reasonable cab ride would be good as they are in their 80's. These are the spots I've thought of for them........can you rank them for me? or tell me forget this one or that one? or correct an oversight? (I told my friends that the Chowhounds are the final word on dining.....so don't hold back.) Tru, North Pond (brunch?), Everest, Blackbird (too noisy for their age?), Ambria (6 years ago I thought it was great...) and Les Nomade. Is MK still as good as it was 3 years ago? I hear rumors that quality has slipped a bit? Their daughter dined at Charlie Trotters and was unimpressed. Sorry this is so long...thanks in advance.
