Kouign amman? Check! Red Boat fish sauce? Check! Fresh Marin Sun Farms meat and chicken? Check! Cultured Italian butter? Check!
It's a friendly little shop on Grant between Union and Filbert where the nice "florist from Mars" used to be. They have what seems an interesting little cheese (not my forte) selection, and salumi from Fra Mani, Creminelli, Il Mondo Vecchio,Columbus and Molinari. Some romantic soul might want to look into the" picnic basket rental" (one hour notice).
Add to that a small but thoughtful selection of vegetables and groceries and you get a welcome addition to the neighborhood that's as useful as I had mistakenly hoped Piazza Market would be in about one-tenth the space. Little big Al says check it out.
