VILLAGE YOGURT um umm good

i finally got around to trying out VY for myself after all the family and friends raves. bottom line is i'm hooked (oh you know, for the moment anyway).

whoa, i dont know how they do it but the dumplings are fantastic, they look like and are regular dumpling size, but so thin and light! words cannot describe, etheral is the word, but they are mighty fine. filled with a tofu/veg mixture. airy yet filling.

the dish to order is any of the 'fantasies,' esp the veg combo fantasy. its the dumplings, steamed and sauteed(?) veggies like carrots and broccoli and brown rice. i like to add some of the side soy/tahini they include, but you dont need it if you dont want to.

they also have salads, sandwiches, soups, yogurt and a juice/shake bar. the 'special shake' of yogurt, milk, wheat germ and honey is a primo choice.

also, looks like a family run place and they like to give you free little homemade cookies with your order, they are good and its a nice touch.
