LOTS and LOTS of outer borough spots in the new Village Voice best of. In fact Queens and Brooklyn dominate by far. Siestema, the food critic must live in Brooklyn or Queens for all the love he shows us!!
Of the Brooklyn spots that are included, one is my local neighborhood fave, Mryrtle Thai! Here's what he had to say about it:
"Brooklyn has no shortage of glitzy cocktail-driven Thai spots. Yet none can match MYRTLE THAI, where the larbs are every bit as good as Sripraphai's, and fish sauce flows like ketchup at a Greek diner."
I eat at Myrtle Thai at least once a week, so I second his opinion.
