Next weekend, I'm having friends over for Vietnamese food. Because I loved the shaking beef and caramel chicken at the Slanted Door in SF, I'm making the NY Times version of Slanted Door's shaking beef. And a recipe for caramel chicken I got from an internet search. I've had success with both dishes, but next week I want to "out do" myself.
There will just be four of us.
What else should I make? Our guests love to eat, and I love to watch them eat since they're both always so appreciative.
