I went to Veritas for dinner on saturday night and while the food was good, I don't think it was worth the price. The Amuse was a peekytoe crab and lobster salad with tarragon mayo. It was a very good seafood salad, but not anything interesting. This was followed by the Maya shrimp ravioli. Again, it was very well executed and tasted good, but wasn't anything special. My main course was the roasted saddle of lamb, which was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor, and the swiss chard that came with it was great too. Dessert was lemon pudding cake, which was ok. To me, it seems that Veritas would be a great restaurant for those seeking a wine experience, as the list was huge and seemed very reasonable. However, i don't think it is worth the cost for the food. There really aren't any creative or unique dishes on the menu, and for $72 i feel there are many other restaurants that you can have a unique dining experience at. If you're a person who goes to expensive restaurants pretty regularly, then Veritas seems like it would be a nice go-to, but if you're splurging on one meal, choose somewhere else.
