I am very unfamiliar with Korean food, but I will be heading to "Korea Town" on Bloor tomorrow with some friends. I am a "fishetarian" (vegetarian, eating some fish/shellfish) and I am worried that I won't be able to find anything to eat!
I've been to a Korean grill once (with the grills on the tables), and the only fishetarian offerings were full squids (not cleaned) and prawns with their heads still attached. Throwing these on the grill (with no sauce available - only the "real" meat had been marinated), and then trying to clean/dissect them myself was not satisfying (or tasty).
I've heard that Umji (the thumb place) and Joon's are good, but I don't know if either of these places have any vegetarian or seafood offerings.
If anyone could give me some guidance on what I should order on my first real venture into Korean food, it would be much appreciated!
