Posted earlier on the 'hazelnut' thread someone mentioned vegemite, the australian concentrated yeast extract that they eat on toast for breakfast ("one of the world's richest known sources of vitamin B"). My husband just brought back some vegemite from Sydney and besides putting it on bread, uses it to make pasta! It's very strong so only small amounts are needed. It is also slightly better (though my son disagrees) than Marmite, the English extract.
My husband also brought back Iron Bark honey from Sydney which is one of the tastiest,most fragrent honeys I've ever tried. Does anyone know if it's available outside of Australia?
