Vancouver Dim Sum Report

After reading many of the recent reviews on this board (especailly Iona, thank you), we went to Jade and Oriental Delight. While we miss Fook Yuen, these were two of the best dim sum experiences we ever had. We went to Jade the first day. It was interesting that many items that are normal in NYC, they didn't have here. Yet, that forced us to order a lot of things we never had before. The selection is nothing compared to Oriental Delight, but all of the food was delicious.

The next day, Oriental Delight was special. The selection is amazing, with a ton of things we had never seen in NYC. While it is pricier, the exchange rate helped. Everything here was amazing. I highly reccomend the same dishes Iona talked about, like the shrimp spring rolls, fried taro cake stuffed with seafood, the shrimp ball covered in almonds and all of the steamed dumplings. Due to the great selection and quality, we came back the next day on our way to Seattle. Amazing again. Plus, as Iona's post states, prior to 11 the dim sum is 35% off. Great deal.
