Need help in the Valley!

Wednesdays are the long day of the week for me. You know the kind where you work all day, shlep out to your voice lesson directly afterwards and then drive down to koreatown for band practice after that?

I'm looking for a restaurant that has good food, relatively fast and inexpensive (around or under $10 for the food part) and is on the way between Sherman Oaks (woodman & ventura) and Koreatown (the Wiltern). Nothing too far north, or away from the freeways since I really need to eat (alone) and go. I've been to Aroma Cafe in tujunga a couple times now. I was going to Hugo's very regularly but can no longer patronize that restaurant due to a very bad experience there last week.

I eat all kinds of food, but need to stay away from really heavy foods and cheese since it's really just something to hold me over while singing. I don't want to feel a cheeseburger singing along with me!
