Vacation Non-Foodie Recs

Alison | May 28, 200511:13 PM     5

Hello,

My parents and I are going to NO this summer. While I'm a bit of a foodie, my parents are not.

They're not willing to go to restaurants that require dressing up, where we'd need to have reservations (or, I imagine, ones that are too pricey). Also, they won't be willing to go out of their way to eat - so restaurants would need to be around the typical touristy areas. We're staying at the Iberville Suites, which is attached to the Ritz, but we won't necessarily be in that are come meal time.

Could you recommend some classic NO dishes? I'm interested in good gumbo, po'boys, and other must-eat food.

Thanks,
Alison
