I posted on here back in December that I was having trouble getting bread to rise in my drafty kitchen and finally had some success. This is a variation on putting a bowl of warm water in the oven as some of you suggested. I got this idea from a cookbook: I put a couple of inches of warm water in my kitchen sink and put my bread bowl up on a platform out of the water. I loosely covered the bowl with plastic wrap and covered the whole sink with a big bath towel to keep in the steam. I ended up with VERY happy dough! I could not believe how high it rose-thanks to all who helped me on this the first time around.
