My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last night at Andale. We were very late for our reservation and they still gave us our table staffed by a very knowledgeable, honest, friendly server named Joe and got us to the Shakespeare Theater (albeit sans coffee and dessert which we had after theater) in an hour and 15 minutes. We started out by splitting an order of guacamole and chips. The guacamole couldn't have been fresher tasting and was delicious with red onions and garlic mixed in which didn't overwhelm the guac. I had one of their 45 brands of tequila - Don Julio reposado - neat and it was great, like drinking a very fine Scotch. For dinner we had the tuna which was cooked perfectly (caveat emptor: the tuna is rare on the inside but didn't seem to bother my husband who doesn't like sushi) with a dusting of chili powder and mixed with tomatoes and pickled onions on top of a corn tortilla. Yum!!
