Headed to Chengdu this weekend for a 3-day eating tour and gleaned some advice from Chowhound, but still have a few lingering questions.
Has anyone been to Turtle, as mention in this article (http://www.gourmet.com/magazine/2000s...) by Fuschia Dunlop? She alludes to it being outside of Chengdu, but not in what direction, or with any info that might let someone follow in her footsteps.
I know hotpot places are ubiquitous, but does anyone have a favorite they'd like to point out?
Gingko or Piaoxiang?
We're also looking for a nongjiale south of the city, if anyone has recommendations, for just one night. We speak Mandarin, so no problems for transportation or communication.
