Unusual places to get good stock?

zbs | Mar 15, 201910:37 AM     4

Anyone know of some good places / hacks to get stock in the city? I'm currently not disposed to make it myself and I would like to have a ready supply of the good stuff for any projects at hand. I am aware of gourmet groceries & butchers like Fleishers and Meat Hook, er stock the stuff but it's usually priced at the cost of an entire soup by itself.

I was wondering perhaps some place in Chinatown would sell quarts of their soup base by itself? Lots of good wonton soup joints that would do the trick for me. Any one have any experience buying it on the reg? Thanks
