I've been laughingly dreading the coming of the reviews for Baraka, cause it's hard enough to get into now -- at least after 7:00 p.m.
Saw the first today -- Patty Unterman in the Examiner. She seemed to like it nearly as much as I do. No comment on one of my favorite dishes, although there was a photo of it: pistachio-encrusted goat cheese with onion-honey jam (also has golden raisins in it). Yum. I react to the contrasts in this dish much as I do to a good foie gras with a fruit confit or sauce. Definitely sensuous.
She did rave about the green fava falafel though -- and I agree, it's great.
