I just came back from a Thanksgiving stay @ a household where they regularly buy pizza from a takeout restaurant to be consumed the next day or days later. They do not refrigerate this pizza, just leave it on the kitchen counter then reheat. Is this commonplace? Apparently they inherited this storage method from their parents and nobody has gotten sick over the years. I've eaten it in the past with no ill effects. The funny thing is the lady of the house is a bit of a germaphobe but this doesn't bother her.
