How to make umami rich tonkotsu ramen?

Hi, I've been trying so hard to make a really good tonkotsu ramen, my tonkotsu broth is great it is creamy and have the pork flavor that it needs, my problem is the tare or seasoning, I've tried everything that I could find, miso, soy sauce, the remaining liquid from chashu, mirin, everything together, I've tried a lot of ingredients, I just don't get the right ones to make it a great ramen, it's just an ok ramen, I followed the recipe from serious eats but in the end of the article the chef just says use miso or salt or whatever you want, im from San Diego and we have Tajima in town and their ramen is an umami bomb in your mouth, please, im frustrated, I need a really good tonkotsu tare recipe!!!
