I was searching for a butter crock on the internet. I love the raw butter from organic pastures, but I realize it tastes so much better when I leave it out a while, it is not only more spreadable, but so much more flavorful then just straight out of the fridge.
I had seen these french butter crocks in some cooking catalogues, but most seemed overly priced. So I was doing a search to compare prices of butter crocks when I found this unbelievable website. I did not even have time to read it, only scan and skim some of the information. I just kept clicking and it seems it never ends. It has beautiful photos and illustrations. It has everything you ever wanted to know about butter. Detailed instructions on making your own butter, the history of butter, different equipment , butter crocks and so on.
