Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Just thought I would share a recipe I am trying out today. A piece of lemongrass was kicking around on the kitchen counter, so time for it to participate in our Tday feast. Destination: the cranberry sauce. Found a recipe online; see below. (Don't you love searching online for a couple of key ingredients, and finding great new combinations?! )
Of course, I tweaked the recipe...... didn't have any oranges, so used bottled orange juice. Used dried ground ginger, since nothing on hand to grind.
Added 1/3 cup of dried raisins and 1/4 tsp of apple cider vinegar, because, well, those are the "secret ingredients" in my MIL's recipe! Another layer of that sweet & sour complexity has always been a good thing, so why change that?!
