Twin Citians Drink More

ChancesR | Dec 15, 201412:32 PM

According to the following article in the NY Times, we spend quite a bit more money on alcohol - by a significant margin - than those living in any other city in the country. We spend much more on bringing alcohol into our homes we also spend much, much more on going out to bars, etc.

What gives? Is it our exceptionally harsh winters that leads us to take solace in booze? Or is it something else like higher prices/taxes for alcohol?
