More turkey talk: to baste or not?

If basting, one can pour good flavors over your turkey, but basting seems to interfere with achieving crisp skin. And if one has taken steps to assure moistness (brining, rubbing butter under the skin, roasting breast-side down to start, etc.), basting won't really make a difference.

I want crisp skin. Should I baste, and if yes, when?
