Turkey - room temp or straight from fridge?

I made this last year but didn't write this into my notes - should I leave the 20lb (unstuffed) turkey out to room temp or put in oven straight from fridge? I am thinking room temp - but how long? I am using Bon Appetite Nov. 1994 Apricot Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion and Shallot Gravy. It was terrific the one time I made it.
