Tucos in Davis

Last month I posted a negative comment about Tucos Wine Market & Cafe in Davis. Either the owner saw my posting or someone called his attention to it. Anyway, he (or she) emailed me the following response, and a few days later I received a check from him. No doubt, this is a man who is interested in serving his customers, and for some reason or another, his wishes were not followed on the day we were there. I just wanted to say that this is an owner who is doing whatever it takes to please the customer. Thanks. And we WILL stop at Tucos next time we're in Davis. Now here is the message I received from the owner:

Hi there. My name is Pru and I own Tucos. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at our place. The day you tried us was the first day we started seeing a good lunch rush, which left us shorthanded. We've since added another staff member to our lunches. Additionally, you should have never been charged for the lunch, given how long you had to wait. I've already spoken to my server for any possible future incidents. If you let me know how much your lunch was and where to send the check, I'd love to reimburse you. Thanks for the feedback. Pru
