Tsujiri Tea and Dessert House - Good but over-priced, Japanese, novelty Matcha tea centric dessert place (4909 Yonge Street)

Charles Yu | Apr 22, 201805:59 PM

We came across this interesting Japanese Matcha tea and dessert house after a satisfying Indonesian meal at nearby Satay-Satay. Majority of drinks and desserts offered are Matcha tea based....tea, latte, ice cream and cheesecake desserts....etc
Based on the menu, one can see this place is trying to charge a premium for their line of novelty products. No price listed on a lot of items might serve as a warning sign?

Products in general were satisfyingly tasty but on the overly sweet side. A lot of components with interesting and unexpected textural interplay were added. However, at $8 for this small cup of ice-cream based parfait, the price point charged was definitely unjustifiable.

Be this the case, the place was packed and a huge line was forming whilst we took our seats! Seems like those would be patrons weren't that price conscious for novelty products....especially Japanese ones?!

BTW, I noticed another huge line forming outside their newly added 2nd floor 'Soba Noodle' place. Wonder if it's any good?
