I'm in the midst of planning for a Christmas trip to Paris and am interested to take a day trip to the Normandy coast if the weather is good. I was searching for some ideas and came across the Trouville Marche aux Poissons which looks Amazing. I'll have a fully equipped kitchen back in Paris and would love to be able to bring some fresh fish and lobsters back to cook.
Now the question is: will it be wise to make the trip on the day after Christmas, that is, the 26th of December? Would the fishing boats be out by the morning of the 26th? Personally, I would assume that they would because of the high holiday season demand, but if a local can enlighten me that would be perfect.
Also, I would like to know the operating hours of the market, From pictures I saw, it seems that the market is open until at least dusk. Is it an evening market for boats that land only in the afternoon?
I've emailed the tourist office and am waiting for their reply. I also found a website listing for one of the direct-sales vendor but they only listed a phone number and not any email.
