Chef Aaron London announced that his MIchelin 1-star restaurant, AL's Place, would close until San Francisco allows outdoor dining again. But he also brought the good news that Tripleta, a Puerto Rican comfort food venture, would open on Thursday, December 10. He's partnering with brothers Jose and Juan Rigau and the venue will be the vacant site of his closed AL's Deli. The plan is to offer take-out and delivery here for the month of December.
The menu will take us beyond what's been offered of Puerto Rican cooking in our area. And includes the protein-packed namesake Tripleta sandwich, "braised pork, rotisserie chicken, grilled steak, salsa verde, lettuce, tomato, TSF special sauce, on pan sobao".
Advance ordering via the usual suspects, no walk-ups. Please report in when you have a chance to try it.
