Trip Report: Four Fantastic Dinners!

ellenost | Nov 22, 2014 06:33 AM

Since I spent much of 2014 thinking about where I would dine when I returned to Las Vegas, I'm very happy to report that all four of my dinners were exceptional! Usually I have one or two that somewhat disappoint in either service or food (or both), but not this visit. My dinners (in chronological order): Gordon Ramsay Steak; Le Cirque; Twist; and Guy Savoy.

Gordon Ramsay Steak: I was seated upstairs at a nice table by the railing giving me a great view of the restaurant. Service was amazingly attentive and friendly. I've never been to the restaurant before, and have only been to Ramsay's original restaurant in London once back in 2000, but I was treated like a queen! For a first time guest, I have never been made to feel so welcomed. Special thanks to Charles. The food was exceptional too! Loved the variety of breads. I ate only the pancetta roll that had great flavor. I chose the seared foie Gras with herbed cheese popovers as my first course. Very generous portion of perfectly cooked Foie gras. I selected the 8 oz. American rib cap as my main course cooked medium. So flavorful and tender, and I enjoyed it as much as the Calotte de boeuf at Per Se. No extra sauce was needed. I ordered the Pommes puree as my side dish that were lovely. As everyone has recommended, I ordered the sticky toffee pudding with brown butter ice cream for dessert. Wonderful! I'll post my review of the other dinners later. Here are a few photos from this dinner.
