We were in town this past weekend and enjoyed some good eats. Friday evening at Los Dos Molinos-house 'ritas were meh but the "kick your ass" ones were great. Hubby had the Adovado ribs and I had the Chile Relleno dinner, both were good and hot. Saturday breakfast found us at Empire Bagels, NYC bagels are hard to beat. Lunch was a couple of rice balls from Esposito Pork in Brooklyn. We liked the traditional version over the one with ricotta and prosciutto. Bought several sticks of salamis. Dinner was at Perilla. Hubby started with pork belly, the special of turbot and the chocolate sampler. I had the spicy duck meatballs, followed by the pork loin and the red velvet cake. We enjoyed all the food but the bus boy was a bit too quick with clearing the table as soon as you put down your fork. Sunday morning was Empire again. Lunch was a slice of pizza from Bleeker Street Pizza "grandma style". Then a pilsner at "Spotted Pig". Dinner was the $12 hanger steak special followed by milk and cookies at Jane. YUM!! We also hit Murray's for cheese and Amy's for bread.
