Just came back from first trip to Austin, stayed at the Driskill which has killer food in its 1886 Cafe. That said I loved the restaurants in this city - and thought the bread funnily enough was absolutely wonderful in all the restaurants we went to. I want to give a shout out to Chez Nous (fantastic truite meuniere), La Traviata ( for the crispy polenta with Gorgonzola sauce and four cheese ravioli), Bess Bistro (BBQ shrimp and amazing panna cotta) and last but not least Clark's Oyster Bar (their oysters and whole branzino). Thanks Austin!!
